Commitment of Traders Reports

The CFTC publishes weekly reports containing details of the open interest of market participants for each market-segment that has at least twenty participants. These Commitment of Traders (COT) reports are available to traders every Friday at 4PM EST and are provided in both long and short formats.

• The short report displays open interest per category separately for reportable and nonreportable positions; for reportable positions, additional data is provided for commercial and non-commercial holdings, spreads, and number of traders.
• The long report encompasses all the data provided in the short report and groups the information by crop year. Where appropriate, the long report also shows the concentration of positions held by the largest four or eight traders.
• Supplemental reports are also available to provide aggregate futures positions of noncommercial, commercial, and tndex traders in twelve selected agricultural commodities.
