• V-Formation →

  V-Formation is a chart pattern that is interpreted as a signal for reversal of a trend.

• Value Date →

  The date when counterparts to a financial transaction agree to exchanging payments. For spot currency transactions, the value date is normally two business days from when the position is opened. Also known as maturity date.

• Vanilla →

  A simple option whose terms and conditions do not include any provisions other than exercise style, expiry and strike. Exotic options have additional terms.

• Variation Margin →

  Additional funds that must be deposited as a result of dramatic price movements.

• Vega →

  Expresses the price change of an option for a one per cent change in the implied volatility.

• Volatility →

  A measure of price fluctuation.

• Volume →

  A measure of the level of trading activity.
